Constantly so many of us “self claimed Christians” listen to secular music. It just becomes a way of life.

Beside the Michael W. Smith collection there are artists like, Black Eyed Peas, or Simple Plan. Green Day, or even the new young, JoJo. Whatever style it may be, the effect is the same.

How many people do you know who have fallen away from God? How many have been raised as born again believers and lived the double life? The “double life” could have started with that first love song. ” There are no bad words in it,” you say, “it’s just a love song.” Or those few so called classical songs, yet none of them talk about God.

Most of the secular music we listen to has a spirit behind it. You might not notice, but if you research the artist you may be shocked to find out who they really are. For example,

a very well known calssical musician was a homosexual. Artists like Johnny Cash was a drug addict during most of his career. And even Christian Kirk Franklin was involved with ponogrophy.

However it is not just who these people are,

but it is also what they write and sing about. Purity is usually important to a young Christian girl. In these songs you are only “cool” if you have already given yourself away. In other songs, the girls sing about there wonderful body shapes and how the use them. Imagine allowing you teennage son to listen to this and then expecting them to respect a women.

We wonder why so many girls, christian or not, getting pregnant between the ages of 14 to 17. Doctors would love to say that it is because of their need for love. Maybe that is a reason, or maybe its because of all the thoughts going on in their heads because of the music you are listening to.

So it is your decision. You decide what is right. You could be reading this and saying not all music is like that. That may be true. But if you dont think that Lucifer, the one who music flowed from his belly, wont use music to get into the minds of boys and girls, men and women, your wrong. it takes one door open to let satan in and one door to open to let Jesus in. So you decide which door to open.
